Getting Ready

Some basic information: I leave for the University of Pennsylvania on August 30 and move in to my dorm on August 31. My first day of classes is not until September 6.

I just received my final schedule, and I couldn't be happier about it. I was placed in all of my top choices, and I will be taking Introductory French, Introduction to Microeconomics, Calculus, and a writing seminar on the Meanings of Democratization. I'm only allowed to take 4 courses my first semester so it looks like I'm going to have a lot of time on my hands to learn how to study and hopefully keep my room clean for the sake of my roommate (God help us if she's as cluttered as I am!!!) Another bonus is the fact that my earliest class on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays is at 11 AM, on Fridays its 10 AM, and the earliest class occurs only once--at 9 AM on Wednesdays. Yet another wonderful aspect of my schedule...I'm done at noon on Fridays!!

As a result of my excitement to start, I have not been procrastinating at all! Hopefully this trait begins to spill over into other aspects of my life as well.

I hope that I am able to keep up with posting on this blog. I intend for it to keep friends and family updated on the goings on of my life over the course of the next four years
