Wheeling Feeling
I am finally home for a much-needed and deserved, if I do say so myself, break. My mom is taking the week off so we have been able to spend some quality relaxation time together. Today we went to an amazing restaurant in Centre Market called Later Gator and ate some delicious crepes. Then we just kind of wandered around the area, chatted it up in a coffee shop that served me the best chai of my life, and had a really good day. I realized how beautiful Wheeling can be on a crisp winter day when you are here as a visitor who used to call it home. I think I might try to take some pictures of Wheeling from this new perspective. I feel like Wheeling has so much potential. You look at the architecture of some of these buildings both inside and out, and you realize that the framework is there, if only someone knew how to properly utilize it. Anyway, that's my schpeel (sp?) I just realized that I have never spelled that word out before, but I am sure that you get the gist (another colloquialism I've never before put to paper). I brought my mandolin home with me. I have been playing it a lot more again, and it makes me really happy. When the weather is nice there is a group of guys that jams outside in the quad where I live so I am looking forward to beginning that again, as I just caught the tale end of it before winter took hold and the music stopped.
